E-graphics communications' Innovative Collaboration with Dance-Painting Artist SAORI KANDA

The NISSAN Calendar 2013 is no ordinary calendar. It's an embodiment of Nissan's brand tagline "Excitement unlike any other". This project is a unique collaboration between E-graphics communications and the dance-painting artist, SAORI KANDA. The result is a collection of eye-opening and unique ideas and images that bring a new dimension to the concept of a calendar.

Each image in the calendar is a work of art by SAORI KANDA. Inspired by Nissan vehicles, she paints directly onto a horizontal curtain in her studio. The combination of the vehicle, the curtain, and the artist in the process of painting are photographed, creating a fantastic art piece. The 2013 calendar contains thirteen such pieces, each one a testament to the fusion of art and technology.

The calendar also features an Augmented Reality (AR) application, adding an interactive dimension to the project. Users can download the AR application to their smartphone or tablet and bring the device close to the calendar's cover page. This allows them to view a behind-the-scenes video of the artist painting the backdrop of Nissan vehicles. Each monthly calendar page also offers AR video content, including interviews with SAORI KANDA and narratives about her thoughts and feelings on each month's artwork.
